Can you use a referral code after you sign up?

Usually not. A referral code attaches to an exchange account at the moment you register, and ReturnFee does not offer a way to change the referrer on an account that already exists.

Why the code has to come first

A referral code ties a new account to whoever referred it. The exchange then pays that referrer a referral reward on the fees the account generates. Because the tie is made at registration, ReturnFee treats an account created without our link as outside the offer, and says so up front rather than after you have traded.

It is also how we confirm your account. When you add your exchange UID to your ReturnFee account, it is matched against the exchange's own invite-code signup data, and it only shows as verified when the two agree.

What to do if you already have an account

Whichever route you take, follow the exchange's own terms. Signup links: OKX, Bitget, MEXC.

What the rebate is once you are set up

Each exchange has one rate, shown on the rates page:

ExchangeReturnFee total
OKX60%
Bitget55%
MEXC50%
Binance45%

After you sign up

  1. Create your ReturnFee account on the sign-in page.
  2. Add your exchange UID. We ask for the UID and a contact address, never your login, password or API key.
  3. Trade as usual. Nothing about how you place orders changes.
  4. Check your balance. It appears in your dashboard and can be compared with what the exchange reports for your UID.

The rest of the mechanism is on the Learn page.

Common questions

I typed the wrong code. Can I fix it?

We treat the referrer on an existing account as fixed. To be covered, open a new account through our link.

Is a referral code the same as an invite code?

Yes, the names differ by exchange. Both tie your new account to the person or service that referred it.

Does ReturnFee charge for this?

No. ReturnFee charges members nothing; you pay only the exchange's normal fees.
